We fell in love with this breed of dog in 2002, after puchasing our first Red Merel female, Chloe. Though not the perfect showdog (ear stands up) she soon stole our hearts with her herding ability and wonderful, loving, talkative personality. In 2005 she had her first litter, bred to a Toy Australian Sheperd stud in MT. We kept back a female Blue Merel named Sydney. Sydney is smaller than her mom and has very nice color and conformation. We searched for several years for the "right" stud dog, and finally found him in 2007. Cole is a Black Tri Toy Australian Sheperd and measures 12 1/2" at his shoulder. He has a wonderful personality and temperment, and loves to be with his family. Despite his small size, he has great herding ability and can really boss around the most stubborn sheep and goats. We have raised several healthy litters of puppies from this group. Most puppies are staying small and measure between 10"-14" at their shoulders and weigh between 12-30 lbs. Chloe is now retired, and eventually we will bring home a toy female, when we find the "right" one! Sydney is also retired and we are not currently planning any further litters
