75%Merino Ram and Ewe.These will add lovely fine wool qualities to our handspinning fleeces.
Maggie Mae,Rambouillet/CVM ewe
Maggie Mae is a farm favorite and was a hit at the fair as well, she has a great personality, even let little kids ride on her at the fair! She was a bottle baby and is just too sweet for words. She has beautiful lambs and both boys from this year have sold(Thank you Stacy).Maggies fleece is much like Cormo I've been told(by the judge at our fair, and a fellow spinner who wants more). She seems to pass nice fleece qualities to her lambs. She will be bred to our upcoming CVM ram, also.
Oreo,Jacob/Icelandic ewe with Emma her Jacob/Ielandic/Polypay ewe lamb from 2010(Living in Spokane Valley)
Oreo has shorter staple length than an Icelandic, but super soft and very nice to work with. Her wool blend nicely for a neat verigated yarn.Emma is oh so soft and take after the Polypay type fleece, she will cross in with our CVM ram when we get him.
Ebyana,Jacob/Icelandic ewe,her Mom is Oreo, pictured above(Living in Beauty Bay with Noah and Jazzy)
Eby has such soft curly lock, they are great for core spinning,or blending. She takes after her mother in fleece quality.
Patches,Rambouillet/CVM/Icelandic wether
Patches is son to Maggie Mae above, and has the most wonderful soft fleece. This is why we kept him in our herd as a fiber wether(he is fixed, neutered, for those who don't understand the term wether).
